Hi, I am Son; Kepler’s Chief of Staff. I believe our feline companions should be treated the same way we treat ourselves and deserve nothing but the best we can provide. I became critically aware that the pet industry is a commercial enterprise that does not always prioritise our pets’ best interests. Determined to be a conscientious pet owner, I embarked on a journey to provide the best life possible for my Russian Blue cat, Kepler Copernicus. I envisioned him as an educated, sophisticated, adventure cat, leading a contemporary cat lifestyle.

Disenchanted by the pet industry’s offerings—products that claim to promote pets’ comfort and well-being, yet fall short; diets that don’t suit the biological needs of our feline companions; mass-produced clothing and accessories made from synthetic materials and toxic chemicals, without aesthetic appeal, that don’t last, and end up in landfills.—I saw the need for a change.

Little did I know that this realisation would mark the beginning of a new creative journey. I started creating for Kepler the most ergonomic cat thrones for luxurious comfort, the most comfortable harnesses not made from plastic, and stylish bow ties for his city-sleeker persona during morning coffees with his dog friends. I designed classy and non-restrictive cat jackets to keep him warm during Melbourne winters. People would stop us on the street and ask, ‘Where did you get that?’

My passion for adventuring and creating the best life for my cat evolved into the House Copernicus brand. This venture has allowed me to combine my lifelong passions for art and science through the alchemy of botanical and eco-printing methods. Using freshly harvested and dried plant parts and natural dyes, I capture the essence of nature in beautiful functional art pieces.
