Note: All consults are online by default. The Starter Constult face-to-face option in this booking form is available only for addresses within 8 km (driving distance) of South Yarra Station. If you’re beyond 8 km, please contact us for a custom face-to-face appointment — we’ll confirm availability and send an invoice (travel fees apply).

Travel fee (for face-to-face beyond 8 km): Travel time is charged at $50/hour ($0.83/min) using Google Maps driving time from South Yarra Station to your address, set to ‘Depart at’ the appointment time. If Maps shows a time range, we use the midpoint. Travel is charged round trip (there + back) and rounded up to the nearest 5 minutes.

1. Services

Education and coaching for guardians of domestic cats, including functional behaviour assessment, observation, analysis, behaviour objectives, contingency-management/training plans, maintenance plans, follow-up reviews, and general pet-care advice (lifestyle, enrichment, activity/exercise, non-prescriptive nutrition).

2. Scope Limits & Referral

Services are limited to everyday behaviour goals and non-aggressive cases. Overt aggression or serious behaviour problems are referred to a veterinarian or veterinary behaviourist. Services do not include boarding, grooming, or transport of animals.

3. Not Veterinary Advice

We do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe treatment. We may request a veterinary check prior to or during a program where appropriate.

4. Outcomes

We exercise due care and skill. Because behaviour change depends on a cat’s history, health, environment, and the guardian’s consistent implementation, specific results can not be guaranteed.

5. Safety & Welfare

  • Follow safety guidance (secure harness/lead, wildlife-safe practices) and pause if your cat shows distress or pain, notifying us promptly.
  • We may pause or stop a session if risk emerges.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the cat’s behaviour and health, and advise of material changes.
  • Manage the environment for safety (secure exits, remove hazards, provide a quiet space).
  • Implement the plan and safety instructions during and between sessions.

7. Fees, Payment, Cancellations & Lateness

  • Payment timing: For paid consults, the full fee is taken at booking via our website form.
  • Reschedule or cancel ≥ 24 hours: no fee.
  • Late change (< 24 hours): fixed $60 fee.
  • No-show / >10 minutes late without notice: the session may be forfeited.
  • Our postponement: If we must postpone for safety/illness, we will reschedule or refund the unused portion (your choice).
  • Failure to pay: Services may be suspended until payment is made; outstanding amounts may be recovered lawfully.

8. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Services are provided with due care and skill; where permitted, remedy is resupply or the cost of resupply.

9. Informed Consent

  • In any conflict between guardian preference and the cat’s welfare, the cat’s welfare has priority.
  • Assessment methods may include observation, functional behaviour assessment, and client-provided data tracking.
  • You may ask questions at any time and may refuse any element you consider inappropriate, understanding potential consequences.

10. Privacy & Confidentiality

  • We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. Information is collected only as reasonably necessary to deliver services, stored securely, and not shared except (a) as required by law, (b) where there is a credible risk of harm to a person or animal, or (c) with your consent.
  • We will not film or photograph without your consent. Photos/videos may be used for educational or promotional purposes only with explicit consent.

11. Insurance & Incidents

We hold Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. In the event of an incident, first aid will be provided as appropriate, details recorded, and our insurer notified per policy.

12. Liability Limitation & Jurisdiction

To the extent permitted by law, liability for any loss or damage (including to persons, animals, or property) is limited to the amount paid for the services. Jurisdiction is Victoria, Australia.

13. Discovery Call (15 minutes, free)

A brief goal-setting discussion to confirm fit and next steps. It is not a behaviour consultation and does not provide individualised advice or a training plan.

14. Agreement & Electronic Acceptance

By ticking the agreement box and submitting the booking form, you confirm you are 18+ and accept this agreement and our policies. The system records your name, timestamp, and relevant technical details as evidence of acceptance.
